Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is seeing its release date move closer and closer. To get you prepped for the film and help you identify which characters are in the movie not named Optimus Prime, Brandon and Tedd will be bringing you Autobot and Decepticon profiles each week up to the film's release. Expect one Autobot and one Decepticon each week. And the good thing about these profiles is that they will be Baysplosion free.
Name: Sideswipe
Original Debut: Part of the original band of Autobots that came to be in 1984
Transformed Vehicle: Lamborghini Countach in the original series, but for the new film Sideswipe is a Gray Corvette.
General Description: Sideswipe is an Autobot unlike any other (except for his brother Sunstreaker): he enjoys battle for what it is and is a thrillseeker. Sideswipe sees battle as a way to show his strength and for him cheating is not out of the question. When everything is on the line, for Sideswipe nothing is out of the question.
Sideswipe is not without his humor. It's long accepted that Sideswipe is the resident prankster of the Ark, along with the occasional prank from Jazz. His weapons include a laser gun, rocket launcher and three rockets.
Sideswipe has appeared in numerous outlets, such as the TV series, comic books by IDW Publishing and Dreamwave Comics and has been redone many times in toy form throughout the years. He was a dedicated Autobot that has never backed down from a fight and is always there when Optimus Prime needs him.
Quote: "When I saw the way commander Blurr got me out of that tight situation. The way he just shot me down without even asking me my name that's when I decided that I wanted to be just as dedicated as he is."
