Common has proven to me (and just about everyone else) that he has musical talents. With Smoking Aces and American Gangster, he proved he has some acting credentials. With Justice League, he was poised to break out completely as John Stewart/Green Lantern. And if JFX Online is any indicator, he may still get that chance. JFX Online spoke with Common regarding the status of Justice League, and the response was quite promising. “Now that the writers strike is over, [the script is] going to head back to the writers for a cleanup. God willing, it’ll get done. This would be a big role for me.” So that's a good sign. We all knew that it hinged on the writers, but its good to know pretty definitely that that was the cause for the delay.
