I was born in 1980. Therefore, I'm a child of the 80s. As part of being born that glorious year, I was also smack dab in the middle of the Star Wars movies (I think my mom was pregnant with me when she and my dad saw The Empire Strikes Back). So its no surprise that you can find something Star Wars in every facet of life, even snow sledding.
In what has to be one of the coolest sled mods EVER, someone made an X-Wing sled. Every year in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, Powderhorn Park holds an art sled rally. I guess the premise is to mod a sled (artistically of course) using materials ranging from cardboard to peas (no clue there). The pictures from City Pages (Minneapolis/St. Paul) depict all sorts of walks of life having a grand old time, and I can only imagine driving an X-Wing sled down a snow trench, trying to hit an exhaust port no bigger than a wamprat.
