Below is an interview that director Louis Leterrier did with G4's The Loop. He talks about the movie and its history (and ties to the Ang Lee film), but at about the 2:56 mark let's loose a major spoiler (which is posted below the video).

There is the possibility that we will see Captain America in the film in a cameo role. Now, this isn't too surprising since the serum that Tim Roth is injected with is blue, and rumored to be some variation of the same Super Serum that made Steve Rogers the original Captain America. This would also tie in nicely to the Cap's shield on Tony Stark's workbench in Iron Man.
