Jason Statham a man without fear?
At Comic Con, you wouldn't be surprised to see epic amounts of star power. Included among them was Jason Statham, pushing Death Race, the upcoming clusterf**k that I really have no hopes for honestly. In any case, Geoff Bucher over at LA Times has some interesting news regarding Jason Statham. While he was having a pint so to speak, Statham happened to be sharing a table with Frank Miller. Of course, the conversation would shift to the epic influence that Miller had on the Daredevil character.
When asked about playing Daredevil, Statham's response was simple.
"Absolutely, just give me the chance, I would love to be Daredevil."
And Miller seems to agree.
"I think he should be Daredevil too."
Now of course, we all remember the most recent foray into the big screen for Daredevil with Ben Affleck donning the red tights and losing his eyesight. The movie was, in a word, bad. But it was great enough to spin off Elektra into its own film, but that still doesn't say much about the film. And most of it was based on Miller's source material, but even the great performance of Colin Farrell as Bullseye couldn't save the film. I'm really not sure if Statham could do better as Daredevil than Affleck (wait a minute, yeah he could) but with the right director the action that Statham could bring to the film would be really awesome.
Jason Statham as Daredevil?
