Marvel Digital Comics bringing exclusive content

Marvel is acting very 21st century like with their Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited line. The premise is simple but brilliant: put the entire history of Marvel/Timely Comics online in an easy to access forum where collector's prices won't hinder someone from checking out Captain America #1. Starting today though you can get more than just historic Marvel Comics on MDCU. Marvel plans on premiering two new comics exclusively available MDCU. Both are tie-ins though, so hold on to that originality hope. The two comics are tie-ins to the Marvel movies that came out this year, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, and maintain the stories created in those two movies. So don't expect anything too outlandish, because writer Frank Tieri has to be careful as to what to write about. "The big issue going in was how to produce something that would satisfy so many different cooks—Marvel editorial, Marvel.com and Marvel Studios," Tieri says. "Marvel Studios in particular is understandably very careful about what you can and can't do with these characters since this all ties into the stuff they're doing with the movies. And really, while a lot of creators might find that as something that could be difficult to deal with, I absolutely took it as a positive." Currently the only one available is Iron Man: Fast Friends #1, but Incredible Hulk: The Fury Files hits October 8. Exclusive online Marvel Digital Comics
