Dark Knight to break Blu-ray records

We all know this. I probably shouldn't even write about it. But I will, because I love all things Batman. Video Business expects the Blu-ray version of The Dark Knight to move at least one million copies that first week. Iron Man shipped 500,000 copies in the first week, but this is the freaking Dark Knight we're talking about here. Quite possibly the best superhero flick of all time, and definitely one of the best films of the year (if not ever). People are primed to pick up Blu-ray movies, and Warner Brothers will definitely make sure you have an affordable opportunity to get the film. "We have been working with key retailers to put together account specific offers, where we bundle a device or the PlayStation 3 remote with one of our titles, which gives the customers value in return,” said Dorinda Marticorena, Warner senior VP of worldwide marketing and high-def. “You will see a plethora of offers from Warner in November and December.” So this could mean that there will be some sort of Dark Knight bundle. I would highly recommend going to whatever lengths necessary to pick up the film on Blu-ray. The movie is great in its own right, but come on. Its high definition awesomeness.
