Expected Autobots/Decepticons in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

I think it goes without saying, but the text after the jump contains potential spoilers related to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Consider yourself warned. Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman spoke with Sci Fi Wire recently, talking about their roles in the upcoming sequel to the surprise hit Transformers. There are some interesting bits in the interview, and a lot looking at how they originally weren't going to write the sequel. It's refreshing to see that despite the studio asking for a bigger and badder sequel, the screenwriting duo didn't feel forced into anything. "That [bigger movie mandate] doesn't really mean anything to us, honestly. Like, we always get to the action last. The action is born of whatever challenges your characters are facing. It's sort of like a musical, you know? The old rule about musicals is ... if the song wasn't moving the story forward or you could tell the story without the song, then it's not really a musical. And same goes for action sequences here." What was probably more interesting (and most likely your reason for reading past the intro text) is that the two writers listed off a bunch of Transformers we can expect to see in the film. On the Autobots side, expect to see: Optimus Prime Bumblebee Volt Wheelbot Jetfire RC Mudflap And on the Decepticons side, expect to see: Starscream Soundwave The Fallen Demolisher Hightower Long Haul Mixmaster Rampage Scrapper Now this list certainly isn't definitive (although it is straight from Orci and Kurtzman's collective mouth). These characters could have just been in the original treatment and might not have made it to the final cut. But it at least gives you a sense of what to possibly expect from the film, and who to keep an eye out for.
