Invincible back to press
The best news a comic book publisher can hear is "your book is sold out!" That means that either the book has tremendous collector's value (damn speculators) or it is really just that good. Invincible #60 from Image Comics falls in the latter category.
The book is gearing up for its second printing for you fans out there that missed it the first time around. The book will be back in stores April 8 for $3.99, followed two weeks later by Invincible #61 for $2.99.
"Telling an entire inter-company crossover in a single issue is something I've had my eye on for awhile," Kirkman said. "It wasn't easy to do, but the results are totally kick ass! I got the chance to play with Image's full line of superheroes, including a few you haven't seen in awhile, like PITT! It was a lot of fun for me to put INVINCIBLE and company through the ringer in a fight that completely devastated the planet, but poor INVINCIBLE has no idea the worst is yet to come as 'The Invincible War Aftermath: Conquest!' begins next issue!"
The issue in question began with Invincible's greatest nemesis attacking the Earth with his army of Invincibles from throughout the multiverse. This triggers the entire Image universe (Spawn, Pitt, Witchblade, Darkness, Savage Dragon, Youngblood, Madman and Dynamo 5) to unite and fight back, while at the same time setting up the "Invicible War Aftermath Conquest" storyline.

I buy Invincible in trades and I still bought #60, it's that great.
ReplyDeleteI am kind of sick of some companies announcing when every comic sells out. Like BOOM for instance, they're selling out of every title every week, get the memo people, you have some good books but its also becoming clear that you just don't print enough of each title.
