Free Comic Book Day 2010 comics announced
Free Comic Book Day 2010 will be May 1, 2010, which is a scant five months away. Never too early to start planning which books you're going to be picking up! The Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) Committee has announced which books will carry the price tag of free on that day, and it looks like there's some decent books.
“This year’s roster of Gold Comics looks amazing,” said FCBD spokesperson, Elissa Lynch. “We’re pleased to showcase the best the comics industry has to offer—and hopeful that this year’s comics will drive new customers to see what’s great about comics and their local comic book shop.”
Mad Engine, Quebecor Printing, and Upper Deck are also serving as Gold Sponsors of the ninth annual FCBD. Dark Horse, DC Comics, Marvel, Image, Ape Entertainment, Archaia Entertainment, Archie Comics, Boom! Studios, Drawn and Quarterly and IDW Publishing will all be participating in the event this year. These publishers are Gold Sponsor certified and are really considered to be the cream of the crop as these are what's aiming at bringing in new readers to comic book shops. Who's bringing what to the table? Check out the full list after the jump and check out the previews at Previews World.
