Top 5 Unforgettable Comic Book Ads

Comic book ads aren't what they used to be. Gone are the days of PSAs, nationalism and Meatloaf while in are the days of video games and Yu-Gi-Oh. iFanboy has compiled a list of the top five ads of days gone by and boy, do they NOT disappoint.

The list includes an anti-tobacco PSA, Spider-man's ways to avoid sexual abuse, Meatloaf and the Special Olympics, Olypmic sales in general and Captain America seeking headshots. Yep, headshots for acting. The list is an interesting trip down nostalgia lane in the sense that you might not specifically remember the ads but you can see the change in sentiment in ads. I don't even really pay attention to ads in comics anymore and couldn't tell you with much detail what they're selling. I can tell you though that nothing beats the sight of Captain America doing a Broadway jig to the showtunes in my head.
