Aspen Solicitations September 2011
September will be here before you know it. With it comes a slew of new comics from Aspen Comics. The first is Broken Pieces #1 on September 7, written by Mark Roslan and illustrated by Micah Kaneshiro, focuses on a not too distant future torn apart by a deadly biological catastrophe. Doctors Richard and Gabriella Adams stood on the verge of a cure to the epidemic spreading across North America. Richard soon discovers that he has to sacrifice everything in order to piece together a hope for humanity and put the shattered remains of his life back together again.
Haunted City #2 is written by Peter Johnson and illustrated by Michael Ryan and due in stores September 14. Tom is lured to a meeting at a decadent nightclub and learns from Albanian gangster Vic Cerberus that he's actually a werewolf. Throw in "Iron Mike" Whalen as the most decorated cop in the history of the NYPD and there's sure to be shenanigans.
September is also going to be Executive Assistant month. Iris hits stores September 7, Orchid September 14, Lotus September 21 and Violet September 28. The titles all tie in to "The Hit List Agenda", the massive crossover storyline featuring the world's most talented Executive Assistants. Executive Assistant: Iris Vol 2 #3 is written by David Wohl and illustrated by Eduardo Francisco, Executive Assistant: Orchid #3 is written by Scott Lobdell and illustrated by Micah Gunnell (inks by Rob Still and colors by David Curiel). Executive Assistant: Lotus #3 is written by Vince Hernandez and illustrated by Oliver Nome (colors by Emilio Lopez) while Executive Assistant: Violet #3 is written by Marc Andreyko and illustrated by Pop Mahn (colors by John Starr).
Finally, Soulfire Vol 3. #4 is written by J.T. Krul and illustrated by Jason Fabok (colors by John Starr), answers about Malikai's early years are presented. Readers will see the orphanage where Malikai grew up and see the quests of past incarnations of Samusara. The title hits stores September 21.
