New Arrivals: January 18, 2012
You can't fault Aspen Comics for anything they're doing these days. They've made a name for themselves as a studio with Fathom, but since then they've branched out into other strong titles, including Charismagic (issue #4 is also out tomorrow), Executive Assistant: Iris and Lady Mechanika.
They have a brand new title launching this week that is a little outside the Aspen family so to speak, tapping the writing talents of a pretty big deal in comic book writers. That writer is Greg Pak and the title is Dead Man's Run #1.
Pak is joined by artist Tony Parker for a new series where hell is actually a prison from which none can escape. It's conveniently located in the middle of the Californian desert, but that won't stop cartographer Sam Tinker from launching an assault in an attempt to rescue his sister Juniper.
Dead Man's Run #0 definitely had us at Omnicomic hooked, so do yourself a favor and check out the first issue as well.
Enjoy!
