Defense With The BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is an ongoing story set in a world where zombies have taken over and people are fighting to survive anyway they can. Originally it was a post of news and tips to help survivors make it one more day alive, but now it has became a story of my fight after being bitten and partially cured to walk as a half-zombie among them.)

You fight, run, survive. That's life. That's our life.

All the preparation in the world never truly prepares you for the fight that will come your way.

After making it back in one piece to the camp we got to work setting up more defenses, strengthening the fence and boosting the power to it as well to handle more zombies. The whole week we didn’t see any signs that those bandits managed to find us or any part of that horde followed us back either, but with all that going on around the area we have to get prepared.

Using some of the cars and anything not nailed down, we made a second line of walls within the fence line. This gave us another line of defense to fall back to and help slow down and funnel the zombies the way we want to make them easier to handle. Even tearing up the asphalt to make pits and traps for bandits was tough going.

We used that asphalt to help reinforce the inner wall, piling it against and under the cars to make it more secure. It’s been tough going since only about seven of us are here working on improving defenses on top of keeping watch out. I hope this attack never comes, but I wish it would happen soon to get this threat taken care of for good.

What's that sound? That's the fence. The zombies are here! Get to the wall! We need to kill them before they overload the fence as there are a ton of them. EVERYBODY GET TO the wall! Anything and everything we have we're going to need!
