It's pretty definite that one Isaac Asimov's three laws of robotics doesn't involve gambling and robots incurring debt associated with gambling. That allows some robots to find themselves in rather sticky situations, such as in Copernicus Jones: Robot Detective #1 from Monkeybrain Comics. The issue is written by Matt D. Wilson, illustrated by Kevin Warren and lettered by Dylan Todd.

Deep in debt, and with collectors breathing down his stainless steel neck, Copernicus takes on what seems like a simple case that promises a huge payday. Turns out it’s not so simple. Figures. The book hits stores January 29 with interiors below.
