Indie Comix Expo Hits Kickstarter

April 24, 2015 may seem like a familiar date. It should be to many convention goers, as it's the same weekend as C2E2. The Chicago show is rapidly becoming one of the premiere shows in the country, so it only makes sense that the Indie Comix Expo piggyback on the crowds and offer their own show. Not only that, but there's also going to be an ICE afterparty as well at Reggie's Rockclub. Two large rooms have been secured at Reggie's (located 2.3 miles from McCormick place) to host creators, panels and music. In the Music Joint room, you can have some great food and drinks and see live panel discussions and creator interviews. In the Rockclub, you can meet with creators at their tables, grab a drink and hear some amazing live music.

Talent at the show will include Tyrell Cannon, Andy Jewett, Jennie Wood, Ed Seimeinkowicz, Bobgar Ornelas, David Brown, Doug Michel, Felipe Anguiano and more to be announced. Get sketches, buy books and hang out as you get ready to close the night out with two big geeks, who transform on the stage: Cochise Soulstar and Adam Warrock. King Bone Press will also be printing an exclusive anthology comic for the show. And after you dine on some great food and drink, check out the sponsors of the show, Sweets so Geek, for absolutely amazing nerd-themed desserts.

There will be a shuttle bus from McCormick place to Reggie's at 5:30 PM and 6 PM, if you are attending another show that day. There is a shuttle bus from Reggie's to the Hyatt and South Loop Hotels at 11 PM. There's a Kickstarter campaign to wrangle some funding as well.
