Readers Big on Jonesy

BOOM! Studios likes the fact that readers are smitten with Jonesy. And they're probably more than just smitten, as the Sam Humphries/Caitlin Rose Boyle project has sold out through its first printing at the distributor level. The publisher has rushed to a second printing to fill demand. The issue saw a 46% increase in retailer orders from initial orders to Final Order Cutoff.

Jonesy is a self-described “cool dork” who spends her time making zines nobody reads, watching anime, and listening to riot grrrl bands and 1D simultaneously. But she has a secret nobody knows: She has the ability to make people fall in love! Anyone, with anything. She’s a teenager in plaid with Cupid powers. There’s only one catch—it doesn’t work on herself. She’s gonna have to find love the old-fashioned way, and in the meantime, figure out how to distract herself from the real emotions she inevitably has to face when her powers go wrong.

Jonesy #1 second print ships with a modified cover by Boyle and carries a retail price of $3.99 under Diamond Code JAN168899. Orders close on March 21, and copies are anticipated to be in stores on April 6. Jonesy #2 arrives in stores on March 16 and is also currently available for reorder. Full press release below.
